​BOOSTER Vaccine

​Everyone 18 years and older who is fully vaccinated against COVID-19 is eligible for a booster. Content last updated November 20, 2021.
​The CDC and the Western States Scientific Safety Review Workgroup recommend a booster dose for people 18 years and older who received the Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, or Moderna COVID-19 vaccine primary series.

​​If you’re in one of the following groups, it’s especially important to get a booster shot for the best protection against COVID-19:
  • People 18 years and older who received the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine for their primary series should get a booster shot at least two months after their last dose.
  • People who received the Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna COVID-19 vaccine for their primary series and are in the following groups should get a booster shot at least 6 months after completing the primary series (first 2 doses):
​Anyone 18 years and older, but not in one of the above categories, may also get a booster dose based on their individual benefits and risks.

​The maximum charge to see a medical provider to collect a COVID-19 testing sample is $170. This fee may be lower under some circumstances. In addition, this fee may be reduced if a lower fee has been negotiated with your insurance carrier.
